About
Small habits, made easy to keep.
EyeNap is a calm break reminder for Mac, made by RETRYTECH LLP, an independent software studio.
Why EyeNap exists
Most of us know we should look away from the screen, stretch and drink water. We just forget, because the work is in front of us and the reminder isn't. EyeNap puts a gentle, well-timed nudge in the menu bar, and makes the break itself short and easy to follow: a 20-second look away, a guided eye routine, a one-minute stretch, a glass of water.
We built it the way we wanted to use it ourselves: quiet, native to macOS, respectful of meetings and focus time, and private. Your wellness data never leaves your Mac, there's no account, and you pay once instead of subscribing.
Who makes it
EyeNap is developed and sold by RETRYTECH LLP. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. You can reach the people who build the app directly at help.retrytech@gmail.com. Every email is read by a person.
How we write our guides
The EyeNap blog covers eye strain, desk ergonomics, movement and hydration for people who work at screens. Because these are health topics, we hold the articles to a few rules:
- Sourced. Health claims and numbers come from professional bodies such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Optometric Association, government health agencies, and peer-reviewed research. Each article lists its sources.
- Honest about the evidence. When research is limited or mixed, we say so, rather than overselling a tip.
- Practical. Clear steps you can use at your desk today, without needing EyeNap.
- Kept current. Articles show the date they were last updated, and we revise them when guidance changes.
EyeNap and its articles are for general wellbeing and are not medical advice. EyeNap is a break reminder, not a medical device. If you have ongoing eye pain, vision changes, headaches or body pain, please see an eye doctor or another health professional.
